Why I built a free Signature Generator — your identity shouldn’t be locked behind paywalls
Hey Indie Hackers 👋
We all know a signature is more than a scribble — it’s identity, trust, and professionalism.
But when I searched for online signature tools, I noticed something frustrating:
Most “free” generators force you to sign up
Some add ugly watermarks
Others hide downloads behind paywalls
That didn’t feel right.
So at Thinkforu.org , I built the Signature Generator:
✅ 100% free, no login required
✅ Draw & customize your signature instantly
✅ Download in PNG, JPG, SVG, or PDF
✅ Works across devices, privacy-first (your data never leaves your browser)
The motivation was simple: your signature should be yours — not something you pay to unlock.
Today, students use it for applications, freelancers for contracts, and small businesses for agreements. And I’m learning a lot about building free tools that people actually want to use.
Would love to hear from this community:
👉 Do you think free tools like this should stay forever-free, or should we add premium features later for sustainability?
Thanks for reading, and if you try the tool, I’d love your feedback 🙏
