Why I Built a Mood-Driven Productivity App

I built Vibe Shift because I needed a tool to realign, reimagine, and reclaim my energy and power.

I’ve always been into affirmations and aesthetics. Music has always been what keeps me going, especially when I’m focusing on software projects. At first, it was just something for me, but then I realized I wanted to share it because most productivity tools only focus on utility. They provide you with timers and checklists, but they don’t address the emotional aspect of being productive.

The truth is, your ability to get things done depends on more than discipline. It depends on how you feel and the environment you’re in. Some people can work in a noisy café. Others can’t focus unless it’s quiet. That difference illustrates how significantly our energy and emotions influence productivity.

That’s why I decided to go all in on Vibe Shift. It’s not only for work, studying, or coding. It’s about pausing for a moment, checking in with yourself, and setting the vibe you want to carry through your day. Life has ups and downs. Taking time to affirm yourself and choose your energy matters.

That’s the heart of Vibe Shift. A way to shift your state of mind, not just manage your tasks.
