Why I built a tool to help migrate from wordpress

I built WPress2Astro — a tool that converts WordPress content into a clean Astro starter project in minutes.

When migrating sites from WordPress to modern frameworks, I kept running into the same problem: exporting and restructuring content manually takes forever.

So I built a tool to automate it.

What WPress2Astro does:

• Export up to 20 WordPress pages/posts

• Pulls all content and images automatically

• Converts everything into a clean Astro starter project

• Gives you a ready-to-run Astro codebase in about 90 seconds

No manual copy-pasting. No rebuilding content from scratch.

Who it’s for:

• Developers migrating WordPress sites

• Indie hackers modernizing older projects

• Anyone moving to Astro for performance and simplicity

Live now. Try it today.
