Why I built an algorithm that helps founders drive demand and hack growth

I've always held that a nifty growth hack is a product's ability to give users agency over their use of the product.

I took my own advice and built a product that gives founders control over the startup acceleration process

Why the need for such a product?

Traditional accelerators work by enrolling founders into rigid programs and bombarding them with boilerplate resources needed to woo VCs. Wooing VCs is important, but products are built primarily to solve problems for users, not for VCs.

In the end, a few accelerated startups get funded and are shaped in the image of the funder(s).

My product preserves founder creativity and gives founders control over their growth & eventual exit strategy, if the need arises.

Rather than a streamlined path, GaugeUp offers a multidimensional and flexible growth path with potentially limitless possibilities.

It's able to do this because it utilizes an algorithm that is dynamic; evolving with startups as they scale.

Best part is that it is free! I built the platform myself using Softr and Airtable

Founders, tech enthusiasts, and cheerleaders, I present, GaugeUp!

It's a tribe for bootstrapped early-stage tech startup founders, that democratizes the process of startup acceleration.

It gives power to founders in two ways:

First, The GaugeUp Algorithm. The algorithm, which was built on data from dozens of startups, analyzes startups to determine their potential to generate demand and achieve widespread customer adoption; key factors that determine the success of startups. It also provides tailored growth hacks for demand generation.

Second, GaugeUp provides founders with curated resources: like growth hacks, guerilla marketing strategies, and information on free tools they can use to grow their startup, build new products, and enhance their processes.

By using the GaugeUp algorithm to improve their brand strategy and product marketing activities, founders can choose to scale on a lean budget, become fundable, or get acquired.
