Why I built CallerWho.com for Home Services & Contractors.

I built CallerWho because home services runs on the phone, and the phone is exactly where good contractors quietly lose money.

When someone's AC quits in July or a pipe lets go at midnight, they don't fill out a form and wait for a callback. They start dialing, and they keep dialing until someone picks up and sounds like they know what they're doing. Whoever answers first usually wins the job. The contractor who's on a roof, under a sink, or already on another line doesn't just miss a call — they hand that customer straight to a competitor. Voicemail doesn't save it. Nobody leaves a message anymore; they just call the next name on the list.

The tools meant to fix this never really understood the problem. Answering services and the first wave of AI receptionists treat every call the same — but every call isn't the same job. A burst pipe in a $2M home twenty minutes away is a completely different opportunity than a price-shopper asking for a free quote on a rental across the county. A seasoned owner knows that in their gut the second they see the number. I wanted to give every contractor that same instinct, automatically, before they even say hello.

That's why CallerWho looks at who's actually calling first — home value, ownership, property type, distance, and a hundred other signals — in real time, before the phone is even answered. So it's not just picking up. It's qualifying the caller, prioritizing the real work, and booking the jobs worth booking, even when you're elbow-deep in someone else's.

I'm not trying to replace the person who built the business. I'm trying to make sure the phone never costs them a good job again.

I like that you're optimizing for the quality of the opportunity, not just answering more calls. For a contractor, every missed call doesn't have the same value. Helping them prioritize the jobs that actually move the business forward is a much stronger angle than just another AI receptionist.
