Why I built this

I moved from Sri Lanka to Ireland and noticed something strange.

Irish businesses are obsessed with WhatsApp. Your dentist is on

WhatsApp. Your hairdresser is on WhatsApp. Your favourite

restaurant takes reservations on WhatsApp.

But every evening, those same businesses go dark.

A customer sends a voice note at 8pm on Friday asking to book a

table for Saturday. Nobody hears it until Monday morning. By then,

they've booked somewhere else — or just given up.

I watched this happen over and over. Restaurants losing covers.

Salons losing appointments. Dental clinics losing patients. All

because of a WhatsApp message that sat unread for 12 hours.

The tools that existed were built for email or webchat. Nobody

had built something specifically for WhatsApp — the channel Irish

SMBs actually use.

So I built it myself.

7 weeks. Solo. From Dublin.

AudioConcierge.ai is a 24/7 AI receptionist that lives inside

WhatsApp. It transcribes voice notes, answers questions using your

business knowledge, and books appointments directly into Google

Calendar - even at midnight on a Sunday.

This week, two Irish restaurants are going live.

I'm a developer from Sri Lanka, building for the country that

gave me a second home. That feels like the right reason to build

something.
