Why I default to PostgreSQL for new projects

I’ve worked with Mongo, MySQL, and others—but Postgres wins for most MVPs:

• Relational (fits 80% of business data)

• Strong ecosystem (Supabase, Prisma, Hasura)

• Scales from MVP to enterprise
  

  Unless there’s a very specific reason, Postgres is the safe, boring, and future-proof choice.
