When we talk about B2B procurement, many people picture something like this:
A group of experienced professionals who know exactly what they need.
"I want an XYZ-23 industrial-grade chiller, made of 316 stainless steel, 2.1m wide..."
They search, filter, compare, and order. All smooth and efficient.
But what we see in reality is often very different.
"I know what I want to build, but I don't know what to buy."
Over the past few months, we've talked to a lot of users: Factory owners, project leads from different industries, even office admins suddenly tasked with purchasing.
They often tell us things like:
● "I'm not sure which model to buy — I only know what result I want."
● "I'm not a procurement expert, and the product names confuse me."
● "There are so many filter options — I don't even know what they mean."
These users are not unqualified. But today's B2B environment asks too much: You need technical knowledge, industry experience, and research skills — all at once.
Imagine a user says:
"I want to build a ski resort in the desert. I'd like it to be eco-friendly."
A smart system should understand what this really means:
● A sealed, low-temperature environment
● Energy system planning
● Equipment and material selection
● Local climate and ecosystem considerations
It shouldn't ask you to first figure out 30 model numbers before you can even begin.
What we imagined is a goal-based way to procure — through conversation.
You say what you want. The system helps you figure out what you actually need and suggests how to get it.
In B2C, systems already "understand human language." But in B2B? Everything still relies on keywords, specs, and technical filters.
We're building a new approach. One where you can:
● Start with goals, not search terms
● Let AI handle complexity and compatibility
● Reduce risk from missing knowledge
We're building a conversational B2B procurement system. It combines AI and structured product data to help users go from vague needs to concrete, executable plans.
The platform is called Accio.
Like the summoning spell — it tries to bring the right things to you, not send you chasing them.
If you've ever thought, "I don’t even know what I should be buying," we're probably solving the same problem.
We're constantly improving this product. If you have thoughts, feedback, or stories of your own, I'd love to hear from you.
I'm Donna, building a system that listens like a human and thinks like an expert.
