Hi IH! I’m Aleksander, a software engineer who spends his days with Node.js and Go. But for my solo project, NoDaily, I went back to Ruby on Rails.
THE PROBLEM: I was tired of "Tribal Storytelling." In my software house, we spent 15-30 minutes every day reciting what we did, only for that information to evaporate the moment the Zoom call ended.
THE SOLUTION: NoDaily. It’s an async-first status logger that turns daily updates into a PERSISTENT DATABASE.
The Chronicle: A structured history of your project.
AI Synthesis: It acts like a Senior PM, turning daily technical logs into a concise Weekly Report for stakeholders.
THE STACK (The controversial part): I’m building this on Rails 8 with the Solid Trifecta.
SQLite in production: Because for a solo founder, simplicity is the ultimate scale.
No React: Built entirely with Hotwire/Turbo. The speed of development is just unfair.
CURRENT STAGE: I’m currently dogfooding the pre-alpha to build the product itself. The response on LinkedIn has been great (even got a nod from some industry veterans!), so I’m opening a waitlist for the first wave of external teams.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on:
SQLite in production – would you trust it for a B2B SaaS?
How do you handle "meeting fatigue" in your teams?
