Why I Spent 2 Weeks Working Only On UX

Design is stupid right?

Well I spent a month building the best spy tool out there! It lets you analyze any company's traffic, facebook ads, google organic rankings, user reviews and more!

There was one problem.

But the first version looked so ugly. It was so ugly that I didn't even want to use my own product :(

But now I've just finally re-did the whole UI. And I'm so proud! For nearly all of my projects I've neglected UX but finally I committed. I researched competitors. I iterated and while ReviewBolt.com will definitely change in the future it's massive step forward.

I'm a lot prouder to share it with friends because it actually looks nice now!

(spoiler: IH traffic has decreased 15% over the last 6 months, but average time spent on site is insane - that's power of Reviewbolt though)

I highly recommend for your UX work just to open up a notion page and copy and paste screenshots of your favourite websites. Also use tailwind or another utility based css framework will speed things up tremendously!

Even if you're terrible design, you probably have good taste! And it's worth spending the time to feel good about your own product.
