As I continue building Promptslab, I've been thinking a lot about the "boring" parts of SEO.
Specifically: Alt Text.
We all know we should write it for accessibility and SEO, but most of us (including me) often skip it because it's tedious.
Before automating this with AI, I wanted to understand the "First Principles" of Alt Text. I spent days researching best practices from Google, Moz, and W3C.
I compiled everything into "A Simple Guide to Alt Text".
It covers the basics:
Why it actually matters (beyond just ranking).
How to write it correctly (without keyword stuffing).
The difference between "decorative" and "informative" images.
This is the first step in my journey to make SEO image optimization easier for everyone.

I'm building this in public, so let me know: Do you write Alt Text for every single image on your blog?
