Why I think pitching needs to be practiced, not just performed

Over the last few months, working on PitchArti has helped me see something that many founders overlook:

Pitching isn’t really a skill you do once and check off.

Most founders pitch only when they have to before an investor meeting or demo day and rarely get clear, actionable feedback about what worked or didn’t. That means weak parts of the story get reinforced, not fixed.

In building PitchArti, we started asking a simple question:

What if pitching became something you practice regularly, just like coding, design, or sales?

What we’ve learned so far:
->Founders improve fastest when they pitch weekly and get direct feedback on clarity.
->Feedback that shows what’s unclear matters more than applause or approval.
->Removing the pressure of “one big pitch” makes skill growth more predictable.

PitchArti is an experiment around that thinking —letting founders pitch frequently, get clear feedback, and try again without penalties.

I’m curious: how do you currently practice your pitch? Do you iterate on it regularly, or mostly in the moment it really counts?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
