Why isn’t there a Content Strategy App?
Content, for me it’s the hardest part of creating a website.
I’ve been looking around for tutorials and often they follow certain steps. They sometimes use online tools and sheets. When I see sheets I always think hey, an app idea!
I have no experience in writing content or whatsoever. I do think that if there was an app with steps that leads you to a content strategy I would use it!
Do you think it is possible? Would you like to work on it with me? Any thoughts? Share them!
PS, I couldn’t find an app for it, I didn’t search that much and I only searched in the AppStore.
Are you talking about something different than ContentCal or Blogely?

Edit: I have been trying them out for a bit, I am not sure how it all works yet, seems all pretty big, but I think I will figure it out
Content strategies depend on objectives and business goals they're meant to achieve. The goals vary so much!
And content formats too. Content is not just text on the website. Videos, podcasts, graphics - these are all parts of a proper content strategy.
There are tools that help you with the content strategy but it's probably impossible to automate this thing.
Who is your target audience in this case?
What is YOUR problem you're trying to solve?
It’s not about automation, it’s about systemation, asking the right questions, which when answered will give you a good idea of your content strategy. The two questions you asked are great first question, I would consider them to be the top level. From there on you go one level down. Fill the following question, As a “your target audience” I want to see “something of your solutions” so I can “whatever you want them to do”. This example would be for a website and is from the top of my head. I don’t want automation, I want a path to follow, that leads to you understanding your business better essentially.
I mean, what you describe is not a tool. It's educational material. And that's ok. You don't have to build a SaaS to help someone solve their problem.
That’s the point, I don’t want it to be only educational, I want to have a dashboard with a clear overview of the subjects you found out by answering the questions.
I just want a dashboard with my projects, those projects can have a website, blog, videos. Click on website, and there is the content of your website, nicely structured, next to it you see which keywords it targets, AI gives examples, if you want to edit a text (like your hero section for example) you will see exactly what your goal is with your hero section. Again the keywords are visable, so you know what you need to write and from here on you can probably incorporate even more tools.

As always, it depends.
If your market is indie makers, you'd be better off creating an educational course with a bunch of templates to follow.
If you niche down and try to build a tool for a single marketing channel, be it SEO, or social media, or ads, you're going into competition with huge established brands like Semrush, Ahrefs, Hubspot, Buzzsumo, etc. You'd need to create multiple complex tools to even come close to their level.
You might want to niche down even further and pick one single problem to solve with your tool.
Like content research (answerthepublic, semrush, ahrefs, etc.), content planning (surferseo, frase.io), content creation (copy.ai and alikes), content optimization (surferseo, inlinks) etc.
I've actually been thinking along the same lines.
I get what you mean. The closest thing I know to a saas/app/product that helps with content creation are tools using GPT3, like copy.ai
That being said, it doesn't fully solve the problem.
I can totally see a subscription based product that uses GPT3 to generate content.
I personally would like to create my own content, wit maybe a little help of AI (like creating example text).
I am thinking of a proces which you go trough and in the end of the proces you have a great text. While in the proces you should be able to use tools for keywords for example and ofcourse AI.
