Why it doesn't matter if your tech startup idea already exists

Let admit it, we've all had that eureka moment. The one where we believe our idea is ground-breaking, a thing of pure genius and sure to change the world as we know it. But after a quick look online, you find it’s already being done by another company. So... what now?

1. Give up?
2. Cry yourself to sleep?
3. Pretend you knew all along about that 'other' company?

There are so many examples of businesses who went on to annihilate all of their competition and achieve multibillion-dollar corporation status. Google, Facebook, Deliveroo, Bumble, QuickBooks, none of which were original ideas but went on to become some of the most successful companies in the world. So the question begs… how did they do it?
