Why launching on PH on Sunday is a good idea
We launched http://Textomap.com on Product Hunt on a Sunday.
Why? Because we knew there will be fewer visitors and we'll have good chances
to be on top ( and we were, we reached #3).
The good thing about Sunday is that people coming on Monday are also interested in what went on during the weekend and if your product is top 5, they will see you.
So we got Sunday, Monday, and even Tuesday votes and exposure.
This strategy is not right for everyone, but it's def worth considering,

It's a strategy that I'm thinking about a lot lately. I launched two times the same product (2nd launch was a rebuilt product), one on Saturday, the other during a week (on Thursday).
On Saturday, I ended up as the 4th product of the day with 290+ upvotes, but on Thursday, I was able to amassed only 40+ upvotes (even though I had a better preparation).
I'm thinking about launching on the weekend as a good strategy for someone who doesn't have a big following.
Definitely a good strategy if you don’t have a lot of twitter followers and didn’t do months prep work. One major thing was that since we were in the top 4 we were tweeted about and written alot.. this bloggers still reblog and retweet about us , bring in lots of visitors…

What were your results on Sunday? Did you compare them to someone who recently launched on a work day (a lot of people here launching on PH and posting their results).
100 upvotes on Sunday and 130 Monday Tuesday until it eventually died down. If you look at sunday launches these number are pretty common for top 5. it’s true that on weekdays it could be double or even x5, but the chances of your product being top 5 are much smaller
