Hey everyone π I'm a high-school student and I built a free web app to fight the "summer slide" β forgetting most of what you learned once the holidays start. It's called Revise: https://revise-o1t7.onrender.com/
It gives you short, regular practice on what you've actually studied β math, history, languages, chemistry & biology β using spaced repetition, so material comes back right before you'd forget it. It generates exercises, reading texts you can translate word-by-word in the app, and flashcards. It works with any free AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini): you paste in a generated prompt and paste the reply back β no API key or subscription. Free, and installable to your phone.
I've been using it for months and it genuinely helps me remember, not just cram. Would love any honest feedback if you give it a try π
The thing that surprised me is that you built this for yourself first.
Most study tools seem to assume students are willing to do extra work today to remember something months from now.
In practice, that's usually where things break.
Curious whether your own usage changed how you think about that.
Well the own usage did change how I think about the problem of forgetting stuff, because now I feel like, that the remembering is actually much much harder than actually learning stuff. And with this new POV I could modify the functionality and visual aspects of the app so it solve the problem the way I would like to (hopefully also useful and helpful for others :)) I would love to hear from you, how do you feel about using the app/ the feedback. Thank you a lot
What's interesting to me is that "helping people learn" and "helping people remember" can eventually become very different products.
I'd be curious how you're thinking about that.

Appreciate it.
Just sent something over.
Interesting distinction either way.
