Why saas banning Russians are killing them

I know that indiehackers are not a place to talk about politics.
I don't want to (except saying that war must stop immediately).

But saas companies are taking a part in the war, in a stupid way that kill people

I understand that government can take sanctions, but I don't understand why companies like ahrefs, or upwork are doing it.

In fact, I just received an email from upwork that is banning Russian. I think that Upwork will directly be responsible for the death of many Russian that is living from that resources. So yes, upwork is killing people!

What is stupid from all those companies, that are maybe thinking that banning regular Russians people will make something. Do you really think that in Russia, if someone is telling something against the government, it'll be ok ? no, they will go to jail and probably be killed...and do you think that putine care about ahrefs sanctions ? upwork sanction ? care if his people is dying ? no..

But the CEO of all those companies (ahrefs, upwork...), that are living in democracy don't understand shit about that. they don't understand what is politics in russian,china, middle east. don't understand dictatorship, war...

They are probably watching TV after taking a good and hot meal.

So please, all the saas founders, don't take regular Russians people hostage. They are not the government. And if they are for the war, it's probably because of brain wash.

I know many Russians, they can't live anymore because they are out of money because they are banned (they can't take money from bank, can't work....). Few media are talking about that, maybe because they blame the Russian people for the war.

Don't make me wrong, it's also this horrible case for Ukrainians, but think also about Russians.

So stop banning Russians, you are just killing them.

Note : but I think it's good that government takes sanctions against russian.
Note 2 : I have many friends from Ukraine and Russia, of course, Ukrainians situation is worst because of the war itself, but Russians are also suffering because regular people don't have money anymore, and banning working tool are just making it worst.
