Why some AI tools feel like experiments? even when they’re not

Been seeing a lot of AI builds lately. Tech wise, many of them are actually solid. But one thing keeps standing out..A surprising number are still running on .vercel.app links or names that feel a bit temporary.

For an MVP, sure that works. But the moment you start talking to serious users or enterprise clients, first impression changes everything.

Before they try your product, they’re already deciding how trustworthy it feels. And that usually starts with your name.

Are you building something for the next 3 months… or something that’s meant to last a few years? This has a bigger impact than most people expect.

This is a positioning and trust problem as much as a product one. 'Feels like an experiment' usually means the onboarding doesn't establish what success looks like, or the outputs aren't tied to a workflow the user already runs.

For solopreneur-facing AI tools specifically, the trust issue is acute. The target user is already suspicious because they've been burned by over-promised tools. The fix isn't just better AI - it's building the tool into a system they recognize as theirs.

That's part of why I'm building a Solopreneur Notion OS as a one-time bundle rather than a SaaS - giving solo founders a system they own and control, where AI tools can plug in rather than replace. What makes something feel 'real' vs experimental in your experience?
