We registered for Stripe and spent a week integrating payments.
Then, out of the blue, Stripe emailed us saying:
Our systems recently identified charges that appear to be unauthorized by the customer, meaning that the owner of the card or bank account did not consent to these payments. This means that we can no longer accept payments for <business name>.
But we haven't processed a single payment yet, as reflected on Stripe's dashboard.
I explained this to support and asked why they really blocked us four times and every time got a generic response:
Unfortunately, after conducting a further review of your account, weโve determined that we still wonโt be able to accept payments for <business name> moving forward.
Don't get me wrong, I love Stripe's documentation and API, but this put's Stripe in the same category as PayPal for me. Especially because we wasted a week integrating their API. Many Redditors have had the same experience
Why could this be? Has anyone here had similar experiences?
I noticed someone tweeting at the CEO for similar terrible user experiences and got a quick resolution. The stripe team seems to be pretty active on twitter.
Wow, thank you for your suggestion. I've tried it: https://twitter.com/JsdevT/status/1537475983992930304. Let's see how it goes.
