why verified lead lists are still failing founders

Spent the last week digging into why so many of our users were seeing high bounce rates on lists they bought elsewhere. it's crazy how fast b2b data goes stale—even stuff that was verified 30 days ago is hitting a 10-15% decay rate.

Currently working on a more aggressive real-time validation for MyCQL because i'm tired of seeing founders waste their outreach budget on ghost emails.

Anyone else noticing that deliverability is getting way harder this year?

Really useful observation here — verified lead lists absolutely feel like a no‑brainer for outreach, but the reality is that data decays fast and intent matters more than contact freshness. Founders often spend money on lists thinking the problem is “quality data,” when the actual bottleneck is relevance and buyer context. List verification doesn’t capture intent or how close someone actually is to needing a solution.

Most people don’t realize that even a verified email address is only half the picture — why that person would care about your offer today is the other half. If you don’t align your message with a real, urgent need, your bounce rates will still be high and replies will still be low. That’s where most outreach budgets quietly leak without anyone noticing.

I do async funnel clarity audits for founders — I look at where visitors or leads misinterpret value, what messaging signals resonate with buyers, and what clearly communicates urgency vs. noise — all delivered in detailed written feedback for $150 (no calls required). If anyone wants a second set of eyes on their outreach funnel or homepage to spot silent leaks in clarity, I’m happy to help.

Thanks for highlighting this — real talk like this helps founders rethink outreach strategy.

totally agree on the intent side of things. data is just the foundation, but if that foundation is rotting (decay), the rest of the funnel doesn't even matter.

that's exactly why i'm leaning so hard into real-time validation for MyCQL. sick of seeing good messaging wasted on dead inboxes. thanks for the input!
