Hey Indie Hackers,
Like many of you, I've been through the ringer with modern job interviewing. High-stakes live panels and automated AI screenings (like HireVue) don’t just test your actual skills—they test your ability to perform flawlessly under extreme pressure.
Too many brilliant professionals lose out on great roles simply because they freeze, ramble, or forget their best achievements when the clock is ticking. It feels less like an evaluation of talent and more like a memory test.
That’s why I’m building hCalls.
We wanted to create a real-time AI Interview Assistant that acts as a communication copilot. It listens to live audio on Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams, instantly maps questions back to your unique resume, and streams structured, tailored talking points in under two seconds.
The goal isn't to cheat the system-it's to eliminate the "brain freeze" and level the playing field so candidates can speak with absolute confidence.
We're currently in the trenches building this out. I'd love to know:
Have you ever completely blanked out during a high-stakes interview?
What features would you want most in an AI interview copilot?
Would love to hear your feedback and answer any questions!
I will love to write an article about your product on our platform. Please mail me; ceo@roipad.com
What stood out to me is that you're trying to reduce cognitive pressure rather than generate better answers.
Most interview tools focus on preparation beforehand. You're focused on helping people communicate what they already know when the pressure is highest. That's a fundamentally different problem to solve.
