Hey
Month 2 update on Threadly. Here's what changed.
The numbers (still humble):
~332 visits last month
9 sign-ups
But we finally figured out what we're actually building.
The problem we kept explaining wrong
We built an email app with AI summarization. Which is cool but is already done. But wasn't fully desired
Then we started really listening to our colleagues at during our 9-5 and a theme started popping up
"I need to know what was actually agreed on, what to do, when the deadline is and what is outstanding without digging through 40 messages."
"Trying to remember everything sent over email is too taxing"
That's when it clicked.
The problem isn't just email volume. It's that email has no memory and is filled with unstructured data/information that gets lost easily. So what if we gave it structure.
You agreed to something in February. It changed in April. By June, nobody remembers the original terms or that they changed at all.
Your inbox treats every thread like a stack of messages. Threadly treats it like a timeline of what was decided, when it changed, and what you still owe people and when its due.
What Threadly actually does which we didn't hone in on:
Extracts decisions from threads: "We'll proceed with X" becomes a tracked record, not a sentence buried in paragraph 4.
Tracks when decisions change: "Actually, we're going with Y instead" gets flagged as a reversal, linked to the original.
Pulls deadlines into your calendar automatically: Someone says "by Friday" → it's in your Threadly calendar, which is then linked to your Google/Microsoft calendar. You'll never forget what due.
Shows what you never replied to: Not inbox zero. Just "here's what's still waiting on you."
The core idea: your email becomes the record of the important things. We still keep our Ai summaries and visual timelines but now we make it a memory system.
Who this resonates with
Consultants managing 5+ clients with overlapping threads
Founders who've lost deals because a decision got buried
Agency owners who need to prove "here's what the client approved in March"
Anyone in a role where "per our last email" is a daily phrase
The common thread: they've all been burned by forgotten agreements.
What I'm changing
Old positioning: "AI-powered email summarization and visual timelines"
New positioning: "Your email's memory. To do listed. Decisions tracked. Changes flagged. Deadlines set and most importantly nothing forgotten."
The feature I'm betting on
Weekly digest: "Here's an update of what happened last week? Here are your deadlines this week and tasks to complete this week"
Question for IH:
For those selling to startups/B2B, consultants, freelancers, or anyone managing multiple client relationships, what channels actually worked best for reaching them?
We are doing cold outreach but curious if there's a community or watering hole we can't currently see
Link if you want to try it. We're currently doing 14 day free trial: https://threadly.live/
Especially useful if you manage long-running threads where so much information and data is stored and things evolve over days, weeks and months.
