Why we launched a side-project from a side-project

3 Years ago we built Hi5 as a side-project to help us manage people. Word spread quickly and the revenue was enough for us to spin this out into it's own company.
We realized a lot of our Hi5 clients didn't have a set of values.
So we created a separate tool called Values Creator to create, sort and share your suggested values with your company and allow them to vote for their favorites.
Since launch, we're generating revenue and have landed 350+ customers. 🙌🏼
##We often get asked why we didn't build this into Hi5:
- We would have lost out on a bigger audience if they had to sign-up through Hi5 first.
- Because of Values Creator's simplicity, it's become a marketing tool for Hi5.
- We didn't want to add more features to Hi5, as our focus this year has been simplifying and cleaning up what's there already.
- We wanted to make it very scrappy to test the validity of the product, hence it's still very ugly.
