Why we’re building premium workforce management software for small businesses

A big idea behind Teamsly is that small and growing businesses shouldn’t have to choose between affordable workforce software that feels limited and powerful software designed for much larger organizations.

We’re building Teamsly to close that gap.

Teamsly is an AI-powered workforce management platform for businesses with hourly, shift-based, frontline, and field teams. It brings employee scheduling, time tracking, tasks, forms and audits, training, jobs, and team communication into one connected platform.

What we want to build is something that feels genuinely premium and polished without becoming inaccessible to smaller operators. That has influenced a lot of our decisions, including offering flat per-location pricing instead of making businesses pay more every time they add another employee.

We’re still early and learning a lot from the businesses actually using the product. One thing that has been especially interesting is seeing which features different teams gravitate toward. In some cases, features we initially thought of as one part of a larger platform, like recurring employee tasks and photo proof, have become some of the features customers use most heavily.

Right now I’m focused heavily on distribution, talking to operators, improving our online footprint, and learning where Teamsly creates the most value.

I’d especially love feedback from other founders who have built or sold B2B SaaS to small businesses:

Does the “premium capabilities made accessible to smaller operators” positioning resonate with you?

And if you’ve sold software into traditional small businesses rather than primarily to other startups, I’d love to hear what channels or approaches worked best for you.

The task + photo proof usage is an interesting signal. Are customers adopting Teamsly mainly for those workflows, then expanding into workforce management?
