Why won't you use this product?

Hey guys,

I recently built marketee.io. A tool that take post-idea as input and generates you relevant posts for twitter, Reddit and IndieHackers on the basis of your idea.

Why do you think one would not use this?

i like the idea of your landing page, its good to look

    1. 1

Thanks, just check it out and let me know what you think?

  2. 2

I expect the quality to be poor. Most AI writing tools just haven't been able to do it for me.

    1. 3

Just try it out, I use it myself and it is free to try.

      1. 7

Not worth my time without more social proof.

Asking people to 'just try' isn't going to be super useful.

There are ways you can create proof.

        Show before and after
        Show results
Do it for people, take one of their public posts and use the tool and show them what it can do.

Just asking is not going to be super effective.

          This is a great advice.

There are few results on the landing page and testimonials too. Not only that, it will just take half of the time to test it than it took you to write this reply. It's as simple as they come.

My friend you are not understanding, I am trying to help you. :)

If someone comes to your website, you can't ask them personally to just try it.

You have to entice them, without a personal message.

Figure that out and it will grow.

Don't figure that out and your project isn't going to get the users.

            Good luck!

Hi Bahauddin, I really like the landing page! I think it gives a good impression to the user what your tool does.
As a user I would be interested in what Marketee can do in relation to ChatGPT - how do they differ and why should I as a user not just use ChatGPT?

All the best for your product!

So, we are powered with gpt4 and the free plan does not offer you that. Apart from that, I believe it's about the experience as well, it takes a lot of things to actually get the right result from GPT4 using chatGPT. Ours is relatively fast and on-point as well as keeps your idea authentic.

PS: I use it myself to create posts out of my post ideas

From my experience, it's really hard to market a product that is not defendable against ChatGPT - if users can achieve similar results in 5-10 minutes using ChatGPT for free, there is barely an incentive to buy.

At least I had this problem with Excelly-AI. While marketing, I found that it's basically impossible to defend it against ChatGPT.

Hence, I implemented features that give Excelly-AI an advantage against ChatGPT by implementing useful features that are not possible in ChatGPT. For example, I implemented a feature where you can upload *.xlsx files and generate formulas on the basis of your own files, or specify column schemas for more semantically meaningful prompts. Both of which is not possible in ChatGPT, but might provide high value to the user.

It's not that the product can't bring value to the user, it's just that there now is a really strong and omnipresent competitor that also nearly everybody knows of. Maybe there are features you could make that separate your product from ChatGPT.

        1. 1

          Exactly.

Too many founders/indiehackers building AI products without any defensible moat - your one feature away from being a commodity.

Be careful though Josh, features are stupidly easy to copy - especially today.

It won't be long before a competitor simply copies your features.

The best defence is building a brand. Salesforce founder Marc Benioff knew this back in 1999 - despite having an innovative business model (SaaS) for his CRM, he knew it wouldn't be long before competitors copied it.

So, rather than relying on this SaaS business model to provide him with long-term differentiation, he turned it into a belief system and a brand called NO SOFTWARE.

Ahh I got it, I do have features lined up that are way beyond chatGPT. So I am more into solving problems. That idea here is that we have just started with this feature with a $9 lifetime deal, which makes it appealing enough for anyone who understands it. And yeah, this is not the final product, this is just one of the features that helps you market better.

PS: excelly AI is the customer for my other product, promotee.co

I like the landing page design in your web. And I did tried is tool it's quite interesting in my opinion.
But the app isn't mobile friendly yet, other than that everything seems good in my opinion.

    1. 1

Yes, most SaaS aren't mobile family, it's intended to be used on a bigger screen.

  5. 1

I guess a reason to not use this would be lack of associated image/video content to go with the post

    1. 1

      I didn't get you?

  6. 1

I wouldn’t use this website because I don’t use twitter or reddit!

  7. 1

There's a plethora of "content" tools with ChatGPT - I would think about what sets your's apart.

    1. 1

It's not a content tool but a marketing tool. But yeah our first feature is about content, so you can say that.
