Why working with images online still feels harder than it should

Working with images online sounds simple, but in practice it’s surprisingly frustrating.

Most of the time, the task is basic — resize an image, compress it, change a format, or remove a background. Yet the process often involves heavy software, forced sign-ups, watermarks, slow tools, or jumping between multiple websites to get one job done.

That friction kept showing up again and again.

ImgCraft started as an attempt to remove that friction. The goal wasn’t to build a complex design tool or replace professional software. It was to create a single, clean place where common image tasks just work — quickly and without unnecessary steps.

One thing that mattered a lot early on was accessibility. Not every image task needs an account. Some tools should simply open, process the image, and finish the job. That idea shaped how ImgCraft was built.

The platform is still evolving, but the focus remains the same: reduce friction, respect users’ time, and keep image work simple.

Would love to hear how others here handle everyday image tasks — and what annoys you most about current tools.
