Why your cold emails are ignored (and how I fixed it)

I used to think cold emailing was just a numbers game. Send 500 emails, get 5 calls. Simple, right?

Wrong. My inbox stayed silent, and my domain reputation took a hit.

After looking at hundreds of failed emails, I realized I was making the same three mistakes everyone else is:

Starting with "I": "I am a founder...", "I built this...", "I want to show you...". Truth is, people only care about their own problems.

The "Template" Vibe: People can smell a generic template from a mile away. If it feels like a robot sent it, it goes to the bin.

Wasting time on research: I’d spend 15 minutes browsing a prospect's LinkedIn just to write one "personalized" line. It’s impossible to scale that way.

How I changed my approach
The "aha" moment was realizing that relevance beats personalization. You don't need to know where they went to college; you need to know what business problems they’re facing right now.

But doing this manually for 50 people a day is a nightmare. That’s why we built AutoSales.

Instead of me digging through websites, I just give the tool a URL. It scans the site, figures out what that company actually does, and drafts an email that sounds like I actually did my homework. It’s not just "filling in blanks"—it actually understands the business context.

The result? I stopped being a "spammer" and started having real conversations.

If you’re struggling to get that first reply, stop sending more emails. Start sending better ones.
