Wicked Templates: From Gumroad to Paddle and changing pages for modals for better UX.

Hello everyone!

Been updating the site a little bit to bring a better UX and low the bounce rate...if that even matters.

From Gumroad to Paddle.

Wicked Templates was using Gumroad for a couple of months, it has been fine, but I got more than once that they can't pay me to Paypal when I had no issue with Paypal whatsoever or the account was touched.

Why?

Well, Paddle is simple and it doesn't look kiddish and no comment about the UI, much better and super quick setup.

I mean, look at that beauty...

Removing pages to use modals instead.

I had around 24 pages on the site, an absurd number because there was no need. I had a page for every template.

now I only have 7:

• Index
• Bulma Templates
• Tailwind Templates
• Bootstrap Templates
• FAQ
• Docs
• Style Guides

Now, instead of having the pages when you want to see, read the details, you get a modal. Every card has the modal corresponding the to the template, with exactly the same layout as the pages had, but on modal.

And it has also tabs, to navigate the template details...

Updating prices.

I have been told the templates were too cheap like 10 bucks were like, sort of "scary cheap".

Well, the prices have got an update too! Will see how that goes.

Future plans.

I do not have any, to be honest. I am going to see how this works and then I start plan B

But something is for sure, I am going to redesign the templates. Also, will add the 4 more Bootstrap templates.
