Will the most valuable AI skill be building tools — or knowing when not to use them?

There’s a lot of focus right now on learning how to use AI tools effectively: prompt engineering, automation, workflows, integrations. But an overlooked skill might be restraint.

Knowing when not to use AI — when a problem needs human judgment, context, or originality — could become just as important as knowing how to use it.

As AI becomes more embedded in everyday work, the differentiator might not be who uses it the most, but who uses it intentionally.
