Will you buy this for $5/year? I will launch!

Last year I built a simple utility app for my personal use.

A website with a textbox that syncs real-time the text written into all the devices it's opened. What ever you write in that scratchpad is realtime changed in all the devices the site is opened.

Some months I have used it daily, some months rarely. But there is always a situation where this is handy. Considering this, if you need this solution, I will add a login system on the website and launch it here for $5/year.

I can also convert the site to a PWA so you can pin this to your mobiles as an app.

What price are you happy paying for a simple app like this:
  1. $18/year
  2. $10/year
  3. $5/year (as mentioned on the post)
  4. $1/year
  5. Do not make this, the world doesn't need this.

Might be cool for something like dashboards, status boards, or arty things that are shown on a big monitor in the office or in a room of a house? Can you modify it in any of the devices or just in the main one? Does it persist after you close all the devices? is it just text?

On the surface level, I like your idea of using it as dashboards etc applications of it. Only thing I am confused on is, if we make it too niche for example a dashboard, then there are already lots of dashboard apps and I will not be able to beat them on features or brand.

      • We can modify text in any of the devices.

      • All the changes will be persisted even if we close all devices.

      • For myself i made only text version. As for images i upload somewhere and i paste link, but i think it can be extended for richer user-cases.

How does this differ from dontpad.com?

Thank you for your suggestion. But No one wants to remember a website name, as well as each notes url. Straight no for me.

Plus, I have stopped using apps which are fully free. Most times they die before they decide on a business plan or have some ulterior motive.

How does this differ from Google docs?

    1. 1
      1. I might not want to log in to my full google account to some devices or friends or workplace. Neither can I keep the doc public as sometimes the info is sensitive.

      2. Google docs feel too bulky for this use-case. my site loads in an instant vs. doc takes time, and it gets redirected to its app on mobile devices

      3. Some site-name like mynotes.com is easy to remember.

4.I can build specific use cases over it, like clipboard sharing, sharing between teams. But that is not v1 and is not part of this validation.
