Winning on Pioneer 🏆

I recently won at Pioneer: https://pioneer.app/

I've been participating since December and I learned a lot about how to write effective weekly updates and climb the leaderboard. Writing effective updates also helped me focus on the right things and make good progress.

I've added some screenshots from my recent updates to this post if anybody wants to take a look.

Here are some tips:

• ❇️ Focus on concise short bullets, no paragraphs, try to use fewer words.

• 🔢 Aim for at least 3 goals per week. If you have less then you probably need to break your goals down into smaller chunks.

• 🔗 Include links as evidence where possible (screenshots, video of UI, webpages).

• 🐛 Updates like "Fixed 7 bugs" are meaningful to you and may represent good progress. However, it means nothing to the person reading it. Use specific goals/accomplishments instead. If you can include a before/after video then even better.

• 🥳 Use emojis. They differentiate tasks and are easier to read than a wall of text. I make the "Done" list colourful and the "Todo" list monochrome.

• 📈 If you have metrics (active users, trials, MRR, weeks until launch) then include them.

• 👍 If you planned to do 6 things and you didn't accomplish 2 of them then you don't need to call out what you didn't do. Focus on what you accomplished instead.
