YouTube said that more than 1.5 billion logged-in users are watching YouTube Shorts every month as it vies to be a legit rival to TikTok.
I can see this happening right now. I didn't liked Shorts at all in starting but now I feel like I am addicted and have hard time to not jump from normal video to shorts.
Less than two years after its launch, more than 1.5B users are viewing YouTube Shorts each month. By comparison, TikTok announced 1 billion monthly users in September 2021.
Shorts also offers the big benefit of pointing viewers to authors' channels, as opposed to TikTok. That might make it more valuable to companies and creators that want to make money off their content.
TikTok has slowly been creeping into YouTube's territory too, as users can post videos up to 10 minutes long and are offering more monetization tools all the time.
Any IHers finding success with using YouTube Shorts?
I use shorts in part because I frequently use YouTube for work. I like it and I reeeeally don't want to add another video app like TikTok to my phone. I don't need an y more distractions.
