If you are launching your startup and started using a platform without code in your solution, but now it's time to expand and you are in a dead end, because the functions you need are missing. What will you do in this case? Maybe it's better to start your project on open source platforms right away?
Doesn't have to be an either or there are platforms that you can build visually with that are extendable or even generate source code check out
Build visually but access the code
http://quest.ai/
https://flutterflow.io/
https://shipr.dev/
https://draftbit.com/
Some extendable platforms (with custom code, or with APIs)
https://bubble.io/
https://www.bildr.com/
and even if you did happen to use a tool that you outgrew, that's a good thing. Better to spend the effort when you have traction and more validation than waste time on an MVP
Thank you for your advertising in this post, only I didn't ask for service recommendations.
But since you've done that, I can say with confidence that all cloud-based Saas ultimately cannot solve the main problem, the protection of the personal data of my clients, and you can also be blocked at any time.
Therefore, I personally decided to use an open source platform and install it on my own service
If my product is generating revenue I'll hire developers. No code is good but the flexibility a developer will bring is no match to anyone.
I'll tell you from my example, I was using wix and in love with it but it have some limitations. I coded my website, and from now on, I'll never go the no code way for website.
If the revenue is not enough to hire a developer, switching platforms are time and cost consuming affairs. And i dont think one platform allows you to switch easily.
The larger an organization gets, the more important it is that your tool stack is future-proof.
Non-free software is like cable TV.
You don't know exactly what you are getting and you are stuck with it when you no longer want it.
The idea behind creating and selling proprietary software is simple: if you can't see the code for what you're buying, you're more addicted. With hundreds or thousands of employees involved and tools deeply integrated into the technology infrastructure, the cost of transition is too high. You are locked.
If you are creating a mobile application, check Moxly, you can create it in the cloud, or you can install it on your own server https://www.moxly.io/product/saas
Look for an option where there is No code and the possibility of extension, otherwise you will waste your time
