Wordpress as online business?
I am considering learning Wordpress and then creating my first online business in Wordpress.
I saw pretty successful businesses online using Wordpress and not it this community.
It is possible to build web page earning me around $400/month using Wordpress?
Anyone having experience using Wordpress as their main platform for their online business ? It is feasible?
WP become a vast ecosystem. There are once who help build WP sites or design them or create templates. Others make plugins to extend its capabilities. Many consultants and agency business exists in this ecosystem. So yes, you can build successful business around WP. However, you should think a bit about who should be your primary target audience since ’WP users’ is just too big to start and target effectively. Something like: ”small stores in X city with more than Y revenue with old web site want g to refresh their online strategy” is a bit more explicit and it is still broad so niche down at the beginning.
It's WordPress (capital P). Those in the ecosystem are real sticklers about this.
If I were re-entering that space, I would definitely pick something niche. Happy to answer any questions having built and sold a business in that space.
