Working from home with your children

    Other interesting factors:

We are now home schooling remotely because of covid. So they need to follow the curriculum. Roll calls every day, emailing assignments etc.

Food shopping is “fun”. Yes just stock up and cook for a few days? But now you need to see what can you buy and what has been hoarded. How to minimise trips to avoid infection but maximise chance of finding what you are after. Food prices are an issue as people will have less money, so what is nutritionally as good but cheaper and not sold out! Interesting times.

Hey! I’m a fellow Indiehacker and working parent of 3. I built kidalist.com this week to crowdsource ideas for kids’ activities. You can submit a url (no sign in needed), upvote, comment and bookmark. I’m hoping this can be helpful. So far it’s just me moderating but I’m trying to a) not tread on the toes of real educators - it’s not a homeschooling site, b) thin it down to easy to do activities, not buried behind a ton of clicks c) avoid the scourge of the massive, unwieldy text list of 1,000 ideas. please share, submit your favorites and upvote/comment. Feedback welcomed. Thx!

Most, if not all, of the guides assume that you can spend 8 hours working uninterrupted. Luckily (it can’t be the other way around) many of us have children. I've compiled some tips for working from home with your children.

If you've got any additional hints and ideas, feel free to share and I'll update the post.
