Working in public, first step...

Hi everybody,

So my name is Thomas, I'm from Switzerland and I'm currently working on a small project. It's been some time now and I've been reading a lot of your posts to find some inspiration and motivation in order to put my work in the spotlight and receive feedback.

Since today I've always postponed or found excuses to not do it, but today I think it's the day. It's been sometimes that I feel a bit stuck in my life and I need to change how I'm dealing with people's feedback so here it is:

My project is called mobidoc, and it's a personal file manager. As you will see the logo is a whale spitting document and hope that some of you will find the reference even though the whale is not white ;-)

The idea came when I was struggling with all the admin paperwork and tickets for guarantees, also everything that we need to keep for taxes, medical bills, and stuff. So I've started to create this using react and nodeJS and adding brick on top of it when I have time.

How to use it (for now) it's easy, login, go to the "files" page and upload your image or pdf, it will be scanned and added to your files, then if you need to find it back just use one word related to the document and the search will find it for you. If you use the demo login creds that are on the login page, there are already some tickets, passports, or other files that you can use to test the tool. Try to search for the name of the food or the name of the waiter in some tickets and check if your file is found...

Working right now on the category filter, the onboarding process, bugs, etc... and also thinking of future versions using the blockchain in order to store the file or also using smart contracts in order to authenticate passport or official documents. Automatization to extract business cards as outlook/phone contact, improve the categorization AI and finish the Flutter application that I'm also working on.
