Currently traveling/surfing my way from El Salvador to Panama and while in El Salvador was given a super cool/funny illustrated dictionary of Salvadoran slang. Turns out every Latin American country has their own robust set of slang words/phrases used daily.
I've taken the idea and tweaked it to make one specifically for Mexico City slang. I started a Twitter page to test the idea by posting daily definitions and interacting with the community before actually creating a real book. Some of you might find it fun and interesting. Any feedback or thoughts on getting feedback or growing interest would be appreciated.
This is kind of a dope idea. I've known people to travel to S.A. and they were bummed by how much they had to rely on like tablets and similar tech.
Thanks. I've for sure had similar conversations with people down here too. I speak spanish fluently, but am constantly learning new colloquial phrases or fun slang to use day-to-day in each country I've visited. The goal would be to get it printed as a small book and sell it online and through spanish langauge schools in Mexico. Lots of fun ways to go with it too, team up with local students to create the illustrations and kick them some money and recognition. Use it to inspire them to get out and create something of their own.
