Workspaces is an indie newsletter again!

Two years ago my newsletter called Workspaces was acquired by a YC and venture-backed startup for "new car money not new house money".

Two weeks ago I bought it back for $1.

Well... technically $29 if you include the $28 wire fee.

Even though I've been the publisher of the newsletter this entire time, I am excited to be running the project as an indie publication again!

To be honest... the last two years of the newsletter felt like checking a box as part of my "job". The creativity and passion slowly slipped away over time.

But now I'm more excited and motivated than ever to turn this into something bigger.

So what's next?

I'm going to continue interviewing inspiring designers, founders, and creators to get an inside look at how they work. That is never changing.

I will also continue sending the newsletter 2x per week.

The biggest change in the short-term is that I'm now offering sponsorships again! Need to pay the bills somehow...

So if you'd like to get your brand in front of a growing and engaged audience of tech and workspace lovers... let me know 😅

Long-term... fresh redesign and features that the website should've had from day 1.

Thanks for following along and supporting this project over the last 4+ years.

The show goes on.

P.S. if this title and story sounds familiar... it's because Indie Hackers had a very similar story not too long ago!

    Congratulations!

the last two years of the newsletter felt like checking a box as part of my "job". The creativity and passion slowly slipped away over time.

Weird how that happens, right? Everyone should experience the mindset shift of owning/running your own project to selling it and continuing to work on it as an employee. Gives you more appreciation for entrepreneurship than anything else.

      100%.

Makes me want to make the project even bigger this time around 💪
