Hello Indie Hacker universe, hope everyone's new year is off to a productive start.
We're gearing up for the next Worldwide virtual meetup. I want to make sure that the meetup we host this year are useful and interesting to everyone.
What kind of meetups would you like to see us do in the next couple months?
Some options:
π€ Freeform conversation w/ breakout rooms (classic style meetup)
π¨ Freelancer specific meetup
π€ Q&A with a notable Indie Hacker (see YouTube channel for past examples)
π± Something else entirely -- comment below your idea
The next meetup will be posted here of course and in the meetup Facebook group:
Happy New Year and thank you for the heads up. To better answer the question, it would help to know - which tools/environments will you use to host it?
About how many participated in the previous ones?
Looking forward to it.
We've mostly used Zoom in the past. Zoom is nice because it has a breakout room feature that let's us split up into groups of a manageable size.
Will try out Hopin this year too since they're purpose-built for online meetup type events. (We used them once way early on but it's not really the same product anymore.)
Meetups are around a dozen or two. Varies depending on peoples' schedules and whether there's a featured guest people are particularly interested in meeting.
