Could something like this actually be helpful for anyone building an online product? If so, why?

Every time I feel like vomiting because such tech is too much, I remind myself that there will always be someone who will love these products so I shut up.

This kind of tech will take over the world. Imagine the competitive advantage it would give people in business. You could essentially communicate telepathically. If you don't replace your eyes with computers you'll be left in the dust by those who do. Plus it'll help to interface with the AGI overlord.

I wear contacts every day, so suppose there are no significant eyesight risks. Sure, sign me up so I can receive my Twitter notifications directly on my eyeball!

This reminded me of the film Spy Kids for some reason. I think from a user perspective I'd find it somewhat claustrophobic like there's something in my eye. Plus, can this actually be good for your eyesight? Supposedly looking at a screen for too long or even watching TV too closely can hurt your vision - surely reading in your eye isn't healthy...
