Would anyone be interested in a cloud hosting product with the following features:
5 USD per month
Git push to deploy
100mb MySQL database
Auto load balancing and setup of PHP, Ruby and Node apps
There are a surprisingly few options available where there is 0 configuration. That's why I am interested in this space.
Can you tell me how your service will be different from Heroku?
Also: Not to be silly but I don't know that there are any options that are "0 configuration" as this may not be possible :)

Heroku is great, but doesn't let you add custom domains on the trial plan.
Also adding a database etc is a bit difficult... In my opinion of course...
0 config might be difficult for larger apps but I feel for small apps on popular stacks, it is possible...

My concern in general is How can you test your "bet" with a minimal amount of work. Will people pay for this? Is there any chance you can build a heroku add-on that offers "zero config" (and other value prop) setups?

Don't you need some configuration? External APIs, secret keys, etc. Heroku seems pretty low-setup for something like that, and they have a free tier.
But don't take my word for it - I'm a DigitalOcean set-everything-up-yourself type :-P
Haha.. thanks Andrew... You are right Heroku is pretty low setup... But my dream is that you upload through git and database, caching is all setup... ready for a custom domain...
