Yes, I'm in the same boat, but we are only 3 in total. I would definitely like to hear more @chrisblackwell and any other agency owners on how you run your shop, develop products on the side and possibly make the transition to a product only business.

I did just that.

*Left my job to focus on my startup- I had some savings
*My saving dried up before my startup could take off

• started on online Cabin building company with my friend, now pays me minimum wage but has good cashflow. Problem is it requires quiet a bit of my time.
• started 2 extra side hustles that's a bit more automated. 1) a course on how to build saas platforms using wordpress (https://wpsaas.pro) . Not enough profit but pays for few bills

2. an online airport transfers website. ( this generated huge profits for me to focus on my original startup)

Lesson learnt,

1. dont just take risk but take calculated risk.
2. Fail fast fail forward.

3. I know have learnt to focus on quick turnaround startups that generate cashflow in short amounts of time. This would fund bigger projects.

4. I try to stay away from service business. They are Time hogs unless automated.

I would love to hear about how you built it. I recently left my job to work on my product ideas. To sustain my efforts, I started a product development consulting agency. I have yet to bag a client but I'm determined to make this work.
