Would anyone like to be notified about quality domain names available for registration
Hello Indie Hacker community,
I am someone who spends a decent amount of time thinking about names for potential projects that I might want to start. I also however, am a domain investor so I do it for that reason as well.
Over the past couple years, I think that I have become halfway decent at coming up with names and developing an understanding of they types of names and extensions that makers/creators like.
I come up with a lot of different name ideas (with a corresponding domain name) that I figure maybe others might want for themselves to develop at some point.

When it comes to domains, definition of quality changes. I learned it when I tried to sell a list of available domain names.
Some values long keyword names, some rely on short "brand-able" letter combinations and some thinks of mistyped popular words. There are more of course, like search volume, backlink count, domain rank etc.
I favor com extensions for example and seeing a single xyz extension devalues the whole list.
Similar to this project; https://twitter.com/unregisteredio I follow them but they fail to grab my attention.
So far the best performing product (in IH) around domains was https://twitter.com/ProductNames However he took a break without disclosing the reason.
Sharing these for you to brainstorm, in case you want to pivot or get inspiration for new features.

I completely agree with you about how what is considered quality in regard to domains tends to rollercoaster. For example, your statement about the xyz extension. Currently, there are a growing number who feel the opposite and want a name in the .xyz extension (primarily those in the web3 and metaverse spaces) and that is why we put them on the list.
I also provide .com domain ideas but as we all know, it is a little more difficult to come up with names ending in .com due to availability or lack thereof.
I checked out the links you provided and I got to say, they are pretty good. However, I feel that the names I provide are right on par if not better and I say that with no disrespect. Having said that, when it comes to domains quality can be a bit subjective in the eye of the beholder.

I just fear this is very rarely happening. Not sure what other indie jackets think, but the examples with relatively unpopular top level findings don't impress me, sorry for being blunt. Maybe other IH want to comment?
I like a website called "tld list" which shows easily available Domain names for thousands of tld, with pricing of various registrars.

Hey I really appreciate and welcome your candor and any other indie hacker for that matter. I guess my questions is, what types of names/extensions are you looking for?
Furthermore, I would respectfully push back a little about your statement on "relatively unpopular top level findings" regarding the examples given to the domain names found.
Those few examples are well known keywords/phrases that have common use in the English language, have high search volume, are all each registered in over 40 domain extensions and the extensions themselves are some that Indie Hackers and those alike seem to have an affinity for.
Nonetheless, I do appreciate your feedback and if you have anything else to add, please do.
On reflection, maybe an (automated) service showing domain names which show free domains where the same word is already used in many other popular tld could be interesting. Example, if Homebase com net io co XYZ app are reservered already, then it's a sign that homebase .so could be a good domain. Possibly in combination with the non use of the .com domain. Homebase com is used by a uk company, so every start up would have to compete on Google with that established company.
PS I meant relatively unpopular top level domains (autocorrect-typo)
Hey thanks again ToPe for feedback. I definitely agree that an automated service would be interesting. To some degree, there are services that have that function such as domain registrars and domain name generators.
With that in mind, I do provide some data that shows search volume and how many extensions are already taken. Below is an example of the newsletter showing such information.
