Would like to hear you guys opinion and suggestions on my startup idea
Hey guys
My team is building a platform that allows individual employees to hire interns to help lighten their work load
The Problem is It’s hard for individual’s to hire interns; most of it is done through personal networks
So we are building a platform that connects professionals to interns who are willing to take on and complete individual projects for them
So we would like to hear you guys opinion and suggestions to this idea
Is it just the match you are after or more of the entire process? For instance California has a lot of paperwork to file you if you are hiring an unpaid intern for education purposes.
I mean it's hard to hire anyone specialized and most of it happens through personal networks - intern is just one example of that larger problem. For instance if you look for a good release engineer.
Let me give you a use case
Are you a Software Engineer at Microsoft trying to determine whether there is a market need for your newest feature? Hire an unpaid intern to do a deep dive into the technology industry and read the 500-pages of industry reports that you don’t have time for
Its more like a professional hiring a freelance intern to help lighten his workloads
Most of this intern do it for work experience,resume boosts and so on
