I’m building ImageGen2, a GPT Image 2-based image tool for product photos, edits, and image variations.
I’m still early, and I’m trying to make the positioning clearer.
Right now the core value prop is:
- generate product and marketing visuals from prompts
- edit with reference images
- create multiple variations in one run
What I’d love feedback on:
- Is the homepage clear about who this is for?
- Does “GPT Image 2” help or hurt the positioning?
- If you landed on this site, what would make you try it?
Site: https://imagegen2.com
I'd argue it depends on who you want to attract. I'd argue not a lot of endusers will be for a specific model but rather a use case. (Nano Banana Craze Branding aside).
I'm deep into branding my own image generator app right now. From what i've learned it doesn't matter to endusers what models are used →they care about effortless outcomes
You’re close — but right now it reads more like a feature set than a clear product.
“GPT Image 2” helps short-term (clarity), but long-term it boxes you in and makes the brand feel interchangeable with every other tool using the same stack.
If this evolves (which it likely will), the name will start working against you.
If I landed here, I’d try it if:
→ the outcome felt more specific (e.g. “product photos that convert” vs generic visuals)
→ and the brand felt like a standalone product, not tied to the underlying model
Curious — are you planning this as a quick utility or something you want to grow into a proper product?
If it’s the second, worth thinking about naming earlier than later.
