Would you find this Chrome Extension useful?

If you're like me, you likely have dozens of websites you log into regularly, and many of these require 2FA via email.

So this requires:

  1. Switch to your email client tab, such as Gmail
  2. Wait for the email to arrive
  3. Open the email
  4. Copy the code to the clipboard
  5. Switch back to the tab of the website you're trying to login to
  6. Paste the code

Well, I was thinking a Chrome Extension would be helpful in reducing these 6 steps to maybe 1.

But there's obvious security concerns with allowing the extension to read your emails and also anything related to 2FA can be scary for most folks.

I'm curious what other IH'ers think? Would you use such a tool?

Would you use this Chrome Extension?
  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Maybe (depending on proof that security is sound)

Man, that working with email and somehow integrated with mobile 2FA would be so useful. Cool idea! I would have some security concerns as well but with some sort of proof I'd def use it.
