Would you get upset if I clipped your podcast?

Let's say I took one of your episodes, chopped it up into small chunks and shared on my website (with links and full credit to you). Would that make you upset?

I hope not, because that's basically the elevator pitch of my product Clipps haha...

I'm curious, what is your usecase for this? Just looking to post your favorite segments and maybe your reaction on your personal blog?

Someone in my community was recently talking about wanting to use an audio clip in his podcast and then reacting to it. Seems like that's another usecase that could be popular.

Haha, we are thinking along the same lines I guess.

Personally I don't see any problems if someone did that with me, but who knows... I could see someone complain.

Use case for me is just finding good bits of audio to include on my future membership site. Podcasts are too long and a lot of fluff in between the good bits. I want to clip just the good stuff and share with my (future) community.

You'd never upset me clipping my shows. Agree, most shows are too long.

Not at all, but a couple things would go through my mind in a general sense:

    • I'd have appreciated a heads up that you wanted to promo my content
    • I'd want to know what else you're using the content for (like what do you get out of it)
    • I'd want the option to opt out (mostly reserving this for platforms I don't want to be associated with, not you in particular)

Oh yeah I saw your tool before ;) may check it out again. Had some trouble with the trimming of vid / audio I think.
