Would you join an in-person mastermind for indie hackers?

I'm considering starting local Indie Hackers chapters in different cities.
I’ve got the founder of IH @csallen onboard to lead the first chapter in Seattle!
I'd love to hear from you all. What do you think about the idea of having a local Indie Hackers community? Would you be interested in joining the Seattle chapter with Courtland, or even starting a chapter in your own city?
This would be different from the meetups that already exist. Each city would follow a structured program which would entail co-working sessions, speakers, learning sessions, and social gatherings. It will be an inclusive community that requires an application and membership fee to ensure people are dedicated to the community and serious about growing ourselves and businesses together.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts and feedback.
This is what I am always looking for. The concept of indie hacking in my country - Vietnam - is still quite new. If there is a community event like this, it would be best. Looking forward for the latest update on the project.
what would you find most helpful? just people to meet or co working sessions or educational series or something else?
I imagine it would be a networking session where you can find a valuable partners for your startups. Co-working session sounds interesting too.

Honestly, I would love to participate. As soon as I get my shit together and I am able to travel the world
where are you located currently? The idea is to have local communities in your home town! No travel required.

I think this would be a great idea. I would love to find people in my city to collaborate with. I go to random startup meetups but something structured with a consistent group would be helpful.
What are the key characteristics of a structured group you would like?
I'm excited about meeting with a group of IHers in Seattle every month!
We used to have tons of meetups, but things stalled in a big way when COVID hit, and I've really missed them. I also like the idea of making them more structured, more serious, more reliable, and probably paid. All of that stuff helps with accountability, like an in-person mastermind.

What was the meetup like? What would you want to get out of a ongoing meetup with a consistent cohort of people?
The event I attended was a very interesting exchange of experience for the development of new applications. Several applications were presented as well as limitations...In my case, the interest would be for developers with some experience in the area (preferably python), open to testing products (applications).
At the moment, I have strategic partnerships with agricultural companies in southern Brazil, which show interest and willingness to test the proposed solution.
I live near Nashville and would seriously consider helping to get something going.

Well i got my hands full hacking my startup these days but if there is some critical mass maybe I can co organize a meetup with someone. Keep the commitment low and see what the uptake is.
Exactly thinking of something like that right now.
Chill meetups would be great, missing in many places in europe.. But structured, with community membership .. (as long as the aim is to strengthen and improve the community, not for the $$) then that would be amazing.

Have not gotten the habit back of exploring random meetups.
So no regular / chill meetups to recommend for now :-)
