Would you launch officially if you couldn't build one of the first features requested by potential users?

I sent some proto-mvp to a potential client a few weeks ago, it was very basic(just a script that generated google sheets with the data they wanted), they immediately asked for a feature that seemed important to them.
I tried to get the feature to work for like 2 weeks(part-time), but it doesn't seems like I'll make it work soon, it's not impossible,
just pretty hard/long to make, I think I'd need at least 2 more weeks to make it work.
Would you still launch in that case?
The rest of the product is more advanced now, but that feature really seemed important to them, and imo it would probably be important to a lot of people, but I guess some people wouldn't need it.

Launch, promote, when/if you add the feature, poke them again.
It may work better if the underlying message is "You asked for it, I did it."
There is no guarantee that they'll be your clients when the feature is ready. Let them know it's on the roadmap and move on.
If you said it would take 2 months or 2 years more then I’d say just launch and work on that immediately afterwards. 2 weeks though? Just add it.
