Would you like to explore the world LIVE, while at home?

Me & my friends are working on an idea to help travellers to explore the world without leaving our homes.

You’ll join native/local creators & explorers as they take you on LIVE online trips through their cities.

An amazing opportunity to Interact & make friends from travellers from all around the world.
It would be like being there, connecting with the locals without actually being there.

How do you like the idea? Share feedback please

We’re calling it Vibecity & we’re doing a pre-launch on Producthunt.

Visiting somewhere is, in-part, the visual element and learning about different cultures. For me, the greater part is experiencing that for myself, including the tastes and smells of that environment, cuisines, and having live, dynamic conversations with the people there.

In a world with lockdowns, this idea may provide temporary relief to those who like to travel and cannot do so, or may be useful for those thinking of visiting an area and want some idea of what it's like - but for both of those groups, how does this differ to searching for documentaries/footage of that area on YouTube? What does the live element bring that traditional travel documentaries don't?

Documentaries are edited to show you the highlights in a succinct amount of time. With your idea, will viewers wait as the guide trudges between points of interest?

      Hey Jaymie 👋

Thanks for the feedback. It was quite insightful.

As a hardcore traveler myself I know that the real, physical feel of experiencing places is of course unmatched. And you are right, I built this product keeping locked down explorers like myself in mind. For me the urge to explore places is actually at an all time high, even though I cant travel!

Some important takeaways of a travel experience for me have always been interaction with local people, learning from them and making new friends. The live element solves for these three. A documentary is more educational than experiential and of course without all the interaction.

Guides on our platform are avid explorers who provide timed, curated, hop in/hop out experiences so that you don't have to be part of things like transition b/w points of interest.

Hope that answers you doubts! Would love to know if you have anymore feedbacks!

We'll be glad to have you as an early user for Vibecity 🙏
